20th CZECH – POLISH – SLOVAK PALAEONTOLOGICAL CONFERENCE

The Faculty of Geology, University of Warsaw cordially invites you to participate in the 20th Jubilee Czech-Polish-Slovak Palaeontological Conference held in the Holy Cross Mountains in central Poland on 20th – 23rd October, 2019.

We now have confirmation from three invited key-speakers, who will give plenary lectures, as well as lead workshops devoted to the micropalaeontology of foraminifers and dinoflagellate cysts in a biostratigraphic and environmental approach: Dr. J.P.G. selected research interests: ammonite biostratigraphy, geology of Jurassic time, sedimentology of carbonates.

Conference Venue and Accommodation
The Conference will be hosted by the European Centre for Geological Education (ECGE; University of Warsaw), located in an abandoned dolomite quarry near the historical town of Chęciny in the heart of the Holy Cross Mountains (Poland). The nearest large cities are Kielce (15 km) and Kraków (~100 km). Conference Venue is located some 170 km south of Warsaw.
